Day 01
Proceed to your Negombo guesthouse, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the coastal city.
Day 02
Before you go to Polonnaruwa stop by the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Visit the orphanage where stray and injured elephants are cared for. Admire the beauty of Sigiriya before moving on to Polonnaruwa where you will spend the night.
Day 03
Discover Polonnaruwa on a city tour stopping at the Royal Palace and the Gal Vihara among other significant locations. After that continue on to Kandy Sri Lankas cultural center. Take a stroll around Kandy Lake in the evening and pay a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic a Buddhist holy site.
Day 04
Explore the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens home to more than 4000 distinct plant species first thing in the morning. When you get back to Kandy take a guided tour of the city stopping at artisan stores and neighborhood marketplaces. Enjoy a magnificent cultural dance performance in the evening that features traditional dance and music from Sri Lanka.
Day 05
See ‘Little England’, or Nuwara Eliya, early in the morning. Savour the serene surroundings and abundant foliage during the winter months. Go to a tea factory to discover the entire process of making tea.
Day 06 & 07
Take your special someone to the Southern Coast to take in the stunning views of the ocean and sandy beaches. Take pleasure in relaxing water sports or sunbathing during the day. The Southern Coast is the ideal location for a romantic getaway whether your preference is to unwind on the sandy beaches or experience the rich marine life by diving or snorkeling. Day 08
Come explore the vibrant capital city of Colombo. On a guided tour of the city you can see famous sites like the Independence Memorial Hall the Gangaramaya Temple and the bustling Pettah Market. Examine the dining shopping and entertainment options available in Colombos nightlife. Remain in Colombo for the night.
Day 09
Prior to departing for the airport spend some time in Colombo shopping or sightseeing after breakfast.
